Professional training in health sciences faces the challenge of articulating disciplinary knowledge with the integral well-being of future professionals. This chapter presents a documentary analysis of the relationship between integral health and professional training in three undergraduate programs at the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit: Nutrition, Physical Therapy, and Physical Culture and Sports. Through a review of scientific literature (2021–2026), it identifies tensions between theoretical knowledge and the daily practice of healthy habits, gaps in clinical and transversal competencies, and the need for interdisciplinary university well-being models. Findings show that students do not always translate acquired theoretical knowledge into their own lifestyle, which has direct implications for curricular design and health promotion in higher education institutions.
