Variable´s Clasification

Abstract

This article presents a documentary research around the research variables. The research problem was the difficulty of research authors to select, define and classify research variables. The objective was to identify the diversity in the way of naming, defining and classifying the research variables. The method used was a bibliographic review, using as inclusion criteria articles from indexed journals, theses and books related to the subject.  Its was search was carried out in various reliable databases; compiling six documents examined qualitatively. The results show that there is no established classification in the scientific community; but rather they are classified, according to the needs of the investigations or already elaborated classifications are adopted. Likewise, it was found that an indiscriminate use of "variable" is made.
